Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails to join our talented team.

While this is technically a full stack role, the primary focus will be on backend development, particularly involving extensive data processing tasks.

If you are experienced in building robust, scalable systems and enjoy working with data, this role is perfect for you.

About Us

The successful candidate will be joining a team comprised of system developers and XML experts located at our Copenhagen and Stockholm offcies.

Our team works on the entire content value chain, from content acquisition and enrichment, management and authoring, to publication to consumer systems.

Together, we strive to deliver accurate, timely, and valuable legal information to our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our backend services using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Design and implement efficient data processing solutions.
• Ensure high-quality code through Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices using RSpec.
• Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipeline with Docker and GitHub Actions.
• Senior level experience with Ruby (essential) and Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in Test-Driven Development using RSpec.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Docker and GitHub Actions.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Comfortable working with XML.
• Ability to solve complex problems and work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements

It is an advantage, but no requirement, to be able to read and understand text in Danish or Swedish. The language at work is English.
